Immersion in water takes its symbolism from this element (see WATER), although the action of bathing is not only associated with purification. It also represents the concept of regeneration. Consequently, if you dream of taking a bath you should let your feelings flow freely in order to live more harmoniously. If the bath is nice it indicates that such harmony is near. On the other hand, if the water is too hot or too cold is a sign that sometimes you are not honest enough. If you are not comfortable with your feelings, taking a bath is like a psychological cleansing. The water represents your emotional nature and the action symbolizes the desire of get rid of old attitudes, negativity, guilt . . . Some suggest that in this dream the bath water is like the mother's womb. The subject's desire is to return to such safety and warmth. Formerly, it was believed that washing with water eradicated not only dirt from the body but also sins from the soul. Conversely, bathing and cleaning oneself means expelling the subject's good fortune. To prepare a bath, however, is an omen of a battle won.
Improving memory can be done in a number of ways, and one of those is by having a good night's sleep. During sleep, your mind is still busy and going through the process of consolidation, where it strengthen your memories as well as the "practice" skills, which you have learned while you're awake. According to the associate professor at NYU Langone Medical Center, Dr. Rapoport says that something happens while we are all sleeping, and it helps us learn things better. Thus, if you're trying something new, you can perform it better right after you sleep.
Types of sleep
There are two types of sleep that most of the humans undergo - REM and NREM. REM refers to the Rapid Eye Movement and NREM refers to Non-Rapid Eye Movement. Every individual will alternate these two types of sleep. Non-REM sleep will occur for a short period of time in the first stage of your sleep followed by the REM sleep. Dreams occur during the REM stage, where it lasts for 20 minutes. According to a researcher, J. Allan Hobson, dreams that occur in REM stage are usually forgotten when the individual wakes up. Studies conducted on patients during sleep shows that the frontal lobes in the brain, that are responsible for storing information, are inactive during the REM stage, which is the main cause for forgetting the dreams. Studies also show that this is the stage where you have the most intense dreams.
