Food represents the traits you want to internalize or model. The different types of food, therefore, have different meanings. Fruit, for example, is sensuality, the received reward, or abundance. In case that it is a bitter fruit, it could represent an unfavorable influence on your lives. Milk, on the other hand, is kindness; sugar, sweet words; and frozen food, emotions you need to awaken. Depending on the feeling that every kind of food produces in you, it will be possible to find out the correct meaning of the dream. Since the Greeks, dreaming of food has had sexual connotations. Throughout history, juicy peaches and other fruits have been linked to lewd and lascivious behavior; pomegranates, with fertility; apple, with the expulsion of Adam and Eve from paradise; and bread, with restrained and reproduction-oriented sexuality. On the other hand, many cultures still believe that dreaming of eating meat involves acquiring the spiritual features of that animal.

If you want to go on a diet, you might want to have enough of sleep. The researches show that people who are on a diet and rests well, relatively lost more fat, of about 56% than those who deprived themselves to sleep. When you sleep well, your metabolism also works well, certain hormones will go up in your blood and drive your appetite.

Types of sleep

There are two types of sleep that most of the humans undergo - REM and NREM. REM refers to the Rapid Eye Movement and NREM refers to Non-Rapid Eye Movement. Every individual will alternate these two types of sleep. Non-REM sleep will occur for a short period of time in the first stage of your sleep followed by the REM sleep. Dreams occur during the REM stage, where it lasts for 20 minutes. According to a researcher, J. Allan Hobson, dreams that occur in REM stage are usually forgotten when the individual wakes up. Studies conducted on patients during sleep shows that the frontal lobes in the brain, that are responsible for storing information, are inactive during the REM stage, which is the main cause for forgetting the dreams. Studies also show that this is the stage where you have the most intense dreams.
