Hunger

If it is confirmed that the dream does not have a physiological origin (sometimes we have the urge to eat when we are asleep), hunger can indicate the presence of some dissatisfaction, in most cases intellectual. This image, therefore, represents the soul's desire to find the answer to deep questions. When the dream repeats often and the hunger is never satiated, it may reflect sexual problems or problems with communication with a partner. If the hunger is satisfied, it is important to pay attention to what calmed it, since that may be necessary in your waking life. (See eating and appetite ) Popular superstition says that the hungrier you are in dreams, the more destiny smiles on you.

Common dreams

Dreams reflect our actions that we have already performed. Most of us have dreams activities relating to our past life. One of the common dreams that every individual has gone through is their experiences during the school life, where you would get images of teacher hitting you, making you feel numb and shameful.

Types of sleep

There are two types of sleep that most of the humans undergo - REM and NREM. REM refers to the Rapid Eye Movement and NREM refers to Non-Rapid Eye Movement. Every individual will alternate these two types of sleep. Non-REM sleep will occur for a short period of time in the first stage of your sleep followed by the REM sleep. Dreams occur during the REM stage, where it lasts for 20 minutes. According to a researcher, J. Allan Hobson, dreams that occur in REM stage are usually forgotten when the individual wakes up. Studies conducted on patients during sleep shows that the frontal lobes in the brain, that are responsible for storing information, are inactive during the REM stage, which is the main cause for forgetting the dreams. Studies also show that this is the stage where you have the most intense dreams.
