Music

In most cultures, music is synonymous with creation, because it seems to have accompanied this divine act. In India, in particular, Shiva created the world by dancing and playing the flute. The symbolism of music is very complex. In general terms, you could say that it is either an integrating element or a divisive one. Thus, if the music is melodic or harmonic it expresses placidity of spirit; however, if it’s blaring music, it suggests a situation of chaos; finally if this music is an unsettling or unrecognizable background noise, it reveals anxiety and insecurity. The sound of music could reflect the overall atmosphere of your life. harmonious, discordant, rhythmic, unpredictable, or unduly shrill. Many melodies express the ambience of worlds beyond the grave, of the unconscious, and of death. Others try to symbolize the harmony of the universe. Music has great power for spiritual representation. Many claim to have heard the songs of angels in dreams.
