The dream could be telling you that you have a mechanical behavior and that you have lost the ability to express your feelings. You should pay attention to the character of your attitudes: they are probably rigid and cold. On the other hand, automatization could represent the role you play at work. Often the tasks that you have to do at work is mechanical and routine. Robots do not appear in ancient books about dreams, but they have been converted into modern archetypes. In this technological age, these machines symbolize the fear of dehumanizing yourself. Further, they could reference the fact that death is inevitable.

Do animals dream?
Research conducted by various scientists show that animals do experience dream while sleeping. They also experience similar sleep stages like human beings - REM and Non-REM. If you have noticed a dog sleep, it might sometimes wag its tail, this indicates some response to its dream. A study was conducted in a cat by removing a part of the brain stem, which will not prevent it from reacting to the dream during REM. It was noted in some cats they were aggressively chasing mice as in reality.
In most kids, lack of sleep can surely result to ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), which is the opposite with the adults. Children between 7 and 10 who gets less than 8-hours of sleep every night will likely to become inattentive, impulsive and hyperactive. Their sleeping patterns can easily affect their brain.
